Juan Manuel González Salcedo

Passionate automation and computer vision engineer with experience in configuration of high tech equipment such as Fanuc robots and vision applications as well as installation and commissioning on site. I have gained strong communication and interpersonal relation skills in a challenging, fast-paced environment in areas such as packaging and pharmaceutic ones. I have been developing vision systems in the industry since 7 years now.

At LAUS, with Antares Vision as a partner, I was working as a Field Service Engineer integrating vision systems in machines such as Marchesini, IMA, Romaco. Some of the applications included Global Serialization for pharmaceutical, tablet inspections and logistic solutions. 1D/2D Codes, OCR traceability. 

At BCNVISION GROUP, I worked as a computer vision engineer where I had the opportunity to go deep into multiple customized 2D/3D and Deep Learning vision applications in industrial areas such as food&beverage, automotive, packaging, pharmaceutic, cosmetic, etc.
Last months, I got promoted to Team Leader Project in order to manage an excellent group of vision engineers so as to guide them throughout the project.

Currently, researching and implementing with the state-of-the-art Deep Learning/AI frameworks for the completion of any computer vision task with the expertise of machine vision experience. I started off as a Freelance with BCNVISION as main customer. 

I have developed a software for deploying machine vision applications under PC/Embedded systems with the latest state-of-the-art Deep Learning algorithms to deliver Object Detection, Classify, Segmentation and Pose applications. BAUMER and Flir API cameras integrated. OPC-UA communications. Webserver and Tkinter close application. Windows and Linux environment.
